Path Program for Appropriate Technology in Health
Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH), a U.S-based, international, nonprofit organization with an office in Kyiv, is hiring staff for a new tuberculosis (TB) project. This project will improve TB case detection and management in selected locations of Ukraine utilizing Directly Observed Treatment Short-Course (DOTS), thereby contributing to a reduction in public health risk of TB. Key project components include advocacy and policy change at all levels of government for DOTS; strengthening TB laboratory diagnostic capacity; improving use of monitoring and surveillance data for TB program management; increased awareness and understanding of TB among the general public and populations at risk; improving health-seeking behavior and adherence to DOTS through community mobilization; and improving health provider knowledge of HIV/TB interaction.
